Alright, this is my funny Kim story. I feel like it deserves its own thread, because I think it's just that great, and the old thread is old.

Let's assume Natalie dies and I'm still here for round 2!

KIMBERLY'S QUEST FOR FRIENDSHIP

Me and Kim have a weird history. We played a few times together but never really interacted until Amanda's AS where we got along really well! Then she tried to blindside me but I idoled her out because thats what you fucking get. I like her outside of games, but between getting a pretty brutal jury speech about how she cant stand talking to me, watching how she treats her allies, watching her blindside a guy just to blindside him for revenge for a game 5 months earlier, turning a rookie into the biggest scapegoat of the entire game because he tried to help her get an idol, out multiple aliases out of spite, and plotting against her pregame allies for no real reason, then moaning about how no one wants to take her to the f2/let her win I'm not exactly jumping to allign with her.

I'm sure you get it.

And its not that I'm automatically against her. There is basically only one person I would kill on sight and thats a very long story and you better not have fucking cast her. But I'm not really looking to actively seek her out for an alliance. I'm pretty content to play my games. I post a lot about who people are in my confessionals and past stuff, but I'm open to a lot more than I probably paint myself as being open to. I like having fun and I work with people who will make the game fun for me.

Watching my back for the giant knife isnt exactly fun. And I just genuinely don't care who Kim is playing or care IF she's playing. I'm not going out of my way to be allies with her though. Again, read above. That's why not. I'm not going to be an idiot and assume this time it'll be different/better.



I know she's playing though. How do I know this?

Every day since then (11 days ago!) Kim has IMed me asking me if I'm playing and who I am. Every. Damn. Day.

I told her I'd rather we figure it out/guess/whatever. She keeps asking. And asking. And asking. And fucking asking. Because she "wants to team up if we're on the same tribe."

If this person is really that desperate for friends/allies, I feel really bad for her. She's been doing this to Curtis too. And weirdly, she told Bryce she wasnt playing.

So last night, I finally did a "guessing game" with her to get her to calm the fuck down about who I am, because I just genuinely dont give a shit but anyone that desperate for my identity is probably not doing detective work just to bake cookies and braid flowers into each others hair.

So awkward. Anyway, I give her a guess and she guesses MORGAN? Like... the most obviously ditzy and obviously johnjownage person in the cast and she picks her? WHY?

Well one option is she thinks I'm going to play retarded. I did it in Jizz V, mainly due to prescription medication complications but planned ditziness as well, so on one hand it might have been a genuine guess at someone she thought I was, and possibly someone on her tribe. On the other hand maybe she just wants me to THINK that shes on that tribe, or maybe she knows I know she.... you get it. Though I don't think shes all that smart for good mind games.

I guessed Silas just to pick someone from that tribe I knew she wasnt so I wouldnt actually catch her and have to tell on my scout's honor. HONOR HAS LOOPHOLES.


So basically she might be on that Yellow tribe or maybe she wants me to THINK shes on that tribe or wants me to think she.... yeah, and I purposefully replied with a guess from that same tribe to give her the same back. But I think Kim is just full of bullshit and I assume she knows I'm full of bullshit, but I like to think she thinks I think that she thinks that I'm on the yellow tribe.




But Kim really isn't too bright if she doesnt get how this works. That people talk. Especially certain Fabio people.

The Little Bastard is dying after a valiant effort by Jerri the Drama Queen and LB himself. It makes me extremely sad.

It also makes me angry!

Ralph, King Frostilicious, DREAMZ, THE CRUSHER, CRAZY JAMEZZZ, The Ralpher or whatever the fuck he calls himself in his confessionals could not be fucked to save Bubba's little brother. He was literally the swing vote, and he chose to let his little homie die. Round 1. Like 40th place.

And I love Morgan, I do, she's amazing and I really do mean that, but I really wanted to see this little kid play. He did so well in mafia for a 13 year old, and hes smarter than a lot of these players. And I have a MASSIVE soft spot for newbies.

I am not at all happy with Ralph.

Normally I'd stay out of other people's TCs, or at least say I am then do the opposite anyway, but thats just cheap. And disappointing. And cowardly. He had achance to change things up and make things interesting and fun. And hes not a normal player who makes calculated moves and weighs valued opinions and options whatever suits him in the long run.

He's goddamn VERNON. He makes moves for the hell of it all the time. He lives for drama and helping out his people and mainly himself and fucking everyone else.

WHY THE FUCK DOES HE NOT DO IT? It literally would have benefited him more anyway. Even if James is mad he killed him in Mini Sausage.

I was already a little :-\ on having Vernon around when I know he's got a lot of friends around, knows my alias, and is out there enough to make massive moves when the timing is right and/or fuck himself and everyone he's connected to in a tangled mess of terribleness. Now I'm outright voting him out when I have the chance.

We discussed this. Random, pointless, overblown revenge kicks=fun.

I dunno, I tend to play with more of a "make people I don't like lose" than a "make me win" mindset. I have more fun like that. And if Vernon's going to be a bitch about helping his allies its a good enough excuse for me. Plus taking him on and winning? Would be priceless. Especially when from then on he claims he totally won the whole game.

This round is awful.

I did NOT want to lose. Because like a lot of the tribes I've actually liked in the past (if you know me, you know 90% of the time I start off wanting to stab my tribe in the face.), this one gets really complicated after boot 1.

First off, an update on my opinions and standings so far:

I think I massively misjudged Ami, but because of that I really don't know what to classify her as. She's in a weird gray area where I like her but I don't, and since I have nothing with her I would prefer she leave this round, but it is kind of hard to boot someone who made charts and organized a group chat and kept us all on point. Like, there's no justification for it.

Btw, that group chat was... like, amazing. I dunno, I like it when everyone is all YEAH TEAMWORK THE POWER OF OUR RANDOMLY DISTRIBUTED TRIBE IS SUPERIOR TO THEIR RANDOMLY DISTRIBUTED TRIBE and works super hard and is all friendship and teamworky in chats for gameplay reasons (if I know I'm in good with the tribe), but makes me want to die when I actually have to be in them.

This was something else entirely.

Yul comes in, drunk and all like SORRY GUYS WATCHING THE GAME xD FORGOT ABOUT THIS HAHA and his font was the exact same as mine only bold which was odd and Ami was like ALRIGHT GUYS WE HAVE VERY IMPORTANT CHALLENGE HERE ARE OUR CONFLICTS TO DISCUSS

Then friendships and smiles and then the chat ended and I get an IM like an hour or so later while in the middle of figuring out how to say fuck you while being nice about it to some model game judges.

There's something oddly comforting about the fact that i'm the person he immediately goes to, and he tells me to go clear the air with fabio and I told him I didn't feel like it and he was like NO YOU NEED TO so I said I would because he still thinks we're like enemies who he's caught between.

I was originally considering Bob as a possibility for a target. He probably did the least, technically, but after that exchange and the ones after I do think he sees me as more of an ally than an anything and going against him when no one else is would be silly.

So i've got Fabio and I've got Bob Dawg and then they've immediately got a group chat they're both in with Yul about manliness and testosterone and guy alliances. And they made it so, so clear that this was happening as I was talking to them that even if Fabio wasn't basically copy pasting it all to me I would have still caught the alliance in 5 seconds flat because they were already deflecting their decisions to "the other guys."

They are so bad at this.

So after coaching Fab through it because his social game sucks unless I point it out to him, the guys quickly reached a consensus aand it wasn't one that I liked.

I'm torn. I really quite like Sugar. I liked watching her play Turkey and she's not bad to talk to, and the fact that everyone is so down with killing her makes keeping her seem like a valuable thing to do.

If we were winning, I would keep Sugar as close as humanly possible and put up with her paranoia and fear of everything. BUT... we're losing. After this round we're still at 34 players. No matter what happens we're one tribe out of 6 and soon control only 1/7th of the game if we do stay unified. I have other connections but they really aren't that strong and I don't want to rely on HEY ITS ACTUALLY ME HI if I don't have to.

So it doesn't make sense to split a tribe concencous at this time for an ally I see as unstable and flighty.



The way I see it, its either Sugar goes, or we turn it around to some power play against Yul. He's set and not changing his mind, and the guys are alligned (even if they're also aligned with me, they seem pretty attached to Yul right now.) I could probably flip one or both of them against him if I have to and get the girls, and remove a major power player from the game early...

But what will that accomplish this round and in the short and long term. Yul is amusing and intelligent but he's not likable. Sugar is likable but paranoid and the outcast. She's probably also smart enough to know she's an outcast and people don't like her here, especially if I turn it around.

So a person like her who's so deeply uncomfortable already is gonna say FUCK YOU GUYS IM OUT the second there is a swap into larger tribes. Even if she would be greatful and shit to me, she's one vote and highly unstable. And apparently offputting enough that history might just repeat itself with the next group she ends up with and I have a scattered tribe with no firm foundation of sticking together or trust.

And if a power player leaves this soon it also paints a picture of the ones who eliminated him as playing hard and puts us (me) more in the open.

We keep yul, Yul on the other hand, and we've got someone who thinks he's in control. The person he wants leaves, he's got 2 and a fourth and a fifth and he sees himself as the tribe's puppetmaster. At a swap he's unlikely to flip and would probably work instead at working bitches into his harem of allies, and shorter term that ensures more numbers with than against us. He'll probably assert a lot of control and split this game in two because I imagine that's how he likes to run it (and 2 sides makes it very easy for an equally smart and powerful player to make it through to the end. People worry less about their side when they've got a whole other one).

That's not something I would mind. Especially if I end up with alliances on both sides of the fence. Realistically I could regroup pretty easily and play sides should they form.

But even in the shortest term possible, I make moves against Yul and they FAIL? Haha god help me.

I think short term and long term it makes more sense to not make waves here. My only fear is that it'll stop being me and Fabio playing Yul and the tribe and start being Yul playing everyone. I mean, i'm the one who told Fab to go in and kiss ass because Yul likes having a minion and if one of us could be it it would make the start of things so much more interesting and open up a lot of options.




It just turns out Judson is really good at being someone's bitch.

Ami didnt get filled in at all. I told her yul said the tribe came to a consensus on Sugar, pointing out that if she wasnt in on it at all that meant the consensus was just the boys. Should we go to TC and again or end up together again, I want Ami to trust me and I want to know where her votes are going to fall. And the best way to make sure she tells me is to make it obvious shes got no choice.

And the option is there, should she decide to take it, for her to make waves and try to change it. Then I don't end up the one pissing off the control freak and can keep my 5 in the swaps or have some sway on who the 4 are should we revisit TC.

I don't think you would keep us in 6 tribes much longer than one more round.... 3 or 4 person tribes? I mean, they're great for drama, but thats... that's MEAN. Also the potential for tight tribes twice the size of others makes a lot of Pagonging possible, and I think you'd probably want more even tribes going into 4 of 8 or 5 of 6.

Anyway, right now (well, back at Jabiru) its basically Yul. I had an alliance with Fabio (and still do) and sent him to kiss ass. He's done a lot of bonding and Yul formed an all guy alliance. Even though it's 3 people out of 37, on a tribe with 6, even if that's not a majority, that's a formal agreement between a group large enough to prevent an opposing majority. So what happens after that when you're in a lot of smaller deals with the ones that aren't in that majority and the ones that are is that you're basically A-OK as far as being the target, but picking targets is trickier.

I could have convinced one of the boys to betray Yul after making a formal alliance, probably. But why would they want to? This early on in such a big game, they have an alliance of 3 and a deal with me. Why would they want to wipe out one of the other 2 of that because their alliance of two asked? Tie it and I'm forever on Yul's shitlist. Convincing Fabio or Bob Dawg to turn on someone they bonded with and had a formal alliance of 3 with is hard. Because you have to have something beyond "I heard he's a dick and we don't talk a lot" to back it up. And both guys are smart enough to not flip on people this early, and both are savvy enough that if you tell them to with nothing, they're going to get jittery and insecure.

Neither of them has a massive amount of backbone to push for a specific target if someone else is, and since Yul was, by default he basically decided the vote.

So Yul.

Because at best I could have turned it but in the process made too many moves far too soon. Most likely I could have tied. And if Yul buries Sugar in a TB... I am fucked.
