The rest of my tribe, Rich in particular, did in awesome job of keeping and extending the lead we had when I left (to go to sleep). I came back for the final few rounds after I attempted to do my best through the first 13 or so hours...and my timing was off...SO OFF.
I'm not even sure if I got any significant points for the rest of the challenge. It wasn't a really big deal however, since the odds of me catching Richard for tribe leader were slim to begin with.
And Ubirr...UGH. I misread and thought the top 6 would get to go, not the top person from each tribe. That certainly deflated me a little since I was looking forward to that trip. Reasons I was looking forward to that:
a) Hidden Idol? mmm maybe.
b) The immunity each person got (I wonder what Richard gets!)
c) Even though we are allowed to communicate with the other tribes, there are way too many people to juggle (especially on AIM). It would have been a great way to start building relationships outside of Gunlom. Let's get serious here, The chances of a merge or condensing of tribes are the second, third, fourth TC increase each time and it would have been awesome to have some sort of relationship built with someone I might end up with for that next stage of the game if I make it that far.
As far as my position on my tribe, I definitely think I am in the top 4. This is fine by me and there is no reason for me to go out of my way to make plans or come off as a leader...someone else can do that and the other tribes can try and get after them when an inevitable merge happens. It's all a waiting game at this point and surviving as long as possible. It wouldn't be very smart to try and mix things up and make huge moves this early on.
enjoy this massive wall of text^^^
but more importantly, enjoy your Saturday night
