So, this first week has been exhausting! I think we have a good tribe. I know BobDawg from another game (I don't think he likes me lol), Fabio is a little crazy but fun, Ami is a sweetheart and very good at math, Yul is quiet but seems okay, and Lindsey is my favorite. We hit it off immediately and I really like her. Natalie is... well... hopefully taking it easy somewhere nursing her hangover.
We had a tribe chat the night the challenge started and we really did a great job catching up, then passing the top team. Unfortunately our lead was gone and we were overtaken again by the next morning. I tried posting during work but I couldn't get the timing right, or I'd get interrupted with phone calls, etc. We ended up with third place and Bob gets to go to Ubirr - and probably has an HII by now.
I was a little nervous I'd be the first boot because I hadn't really talked to anyone on my tribe (besides Bob) until the challenge chat. It seems Natalie's going, though, so I guess I'm just a little paranoid. What's new? I wasn't interested in 39th place or whatever our tribe's boot is going to be.
This is who I'm feeling the most on our tribe as of now in the order I would like to keep them around:
Lindsey: Definitely my favorite, as stated above. She is very smart and very strong. She tells me she feels the same but I do think she has a good connection with BobDawg and possibly Fabio. That bickering between Lindsey and Fabio had to be a little bit of a smokescreen? Either way, I plan to stay tight with her but just keep an eye on that at the same time.
Ami: She is super sweet and very strong. She is in a different time zone but still came in second on our tribe during this challenge. She seems to feel a bit on the outs and I have told her I feel the same. I think she will stick with me so, with her and Lindsey on my side, that makes me feel much better going into next round.
Yul: It's a little strange that I'm putting him here because we haven't really talked game yet..but I think he wants to. He is giving off a better vibe than Fabio or Bob are right now but my impressions change with the wind so we'll see. He told me in a PM he wants to talk to me about game, so that tells me he's at least considering me in his plans and not just dismissing me the way I feel Bob and Fabio may be...
Bob: I would have put him first a couple of days ago because I talked to him at the very beginning, already knowing who he was. I was hoping we could get past whatever negative issues we've had in the past (not really bad but we've never really connected for some reason), but he just got quiet with me since yesterday. I IM'd him and PM'd him and got back one word replies. Plus, now that he's been to Ubirr, he's dangerous. Not that he isn't already. He's definitely a big challenge threat - which makes him a strength tribe-wise. I'd rather be on his good side but if he doesn't want that, so be it. He's kind of on my bad side for now.
Fabio: He is always really friendly but there is an invisible barrier that seems to be hard to get through. It's like he's playing a character so much that he's keeping people (at least me) at arm's length. I only put him below Bob because he's the hardest to read. I think he's a nice guy on the surface but I think he'd cut my throat while giving me his winning smile. He hasn't reached out to me at all yet, so he's at the bottom for now.
Next challenge looks fun, judging by Treemail. I'm glad it seems like it might be more relaxing than the last.
